Spectrum News NY1 will allow all viewers free access to our coverage for Election Day.
The access begins at 6 a.m. and will run throughout the day until our live coverage ends at night.
Viewers will also be able to watch for free on Spectrum News NY1’s digital platforms.
There’s a lengthy list of candidates running in the Democratic primary for mayor, including former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Queens state Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani, City Comptroller Brad Lander, City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, former City Comptroller Scott Stringer, Brooklyn state Assemblymember Zellnor Myrie, former Bronx state Assemblymember Michael Blake, Queens state Sen. Jessica Ramos and political newcomer Whitney Tilson. (Incumbent Mayor Eric Adams is not running in the primary and will run in the general election as an independent.)
In the Democratic primary for public advocate, the incumbent, Jumaane Williams, faces a challenge from Queens state Assemblymember Jenifer Rajkumar.
Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, Brooklyn City Councilmember Justin Brannan and Brooklyn state Sen. Kevin Parker are candidates in the Democratic primary for city comptroller.
How to watch
Spectrum News NY1 will open its website and app for viewers to watch the debate for free. For Spectrum nonsubscribers, download the Spectrum News app, available to Android and iPhone users, then tap “Live” on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen to view the debate.
In addition to watching the debate on the Spectrum News app, viewers can also tune in on the Spectrum News website by clicking here. Click on the “Open Access” link, which will appear shortly before the debate begins.
Our live coverage will also be able to be streamed on Spectrum News' YouTube channel.
Polls are open across the five boroughs from 6 a.m. through 9 p.m. on Election Day.
