Gov. Kathy Hochul officially signed the state budget bills into law.
But while the governor has been celebrating her wins, some items in the budget have largely escaped public attention.
That includes changes to the state’s public campaign finance system that critics say weaken the program and a two-year delay of a law that was supposed to limit lawmakers’ outside income.
The good-government group Reinvent Albany calls the changes cynical, self-serving and anti-Democratic.
John Kaehny, the group’s executive director, joined NY1’s Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss more.
