Broadway legend Patti LuPone — who created the role of Norma Desmond in “Sunset Blvd.” in London in 1993 — gave a glowing review to the Broadway revival starring Nicole Scherzinger and Tom Francis after attending a performance Wednesday night.

"I loved this production," LuPone told NY1's Frank DiLella. "I thought Nicole and Tom were stunning. I thought Nicole was unbelievable. She broke my heart. She is a force."

LuPone also praised the cast, the lighting and the use of filming.

"This worked brilliantly. The whole thing," she said. "I was energized when I left the theater. I loved it."

Glenn Close played the role of Norma Desmond during the show's original Broadway run in 1994.

The current revival of "Sunset Blvd." is playing at the St. James Theatre.
