In honor of Juneteenth, poet, lawyer and founder of Freedom Reads, Reginald Dwayne Betts, joined “The Rush Hour” on Thursday to discuss the significance of Juneteenth.

Betts also shares the shortlist of books being judged in the Inside Literary Prize for the second year.

The prize is the first-ever U.S.-based literary prize awarded and judged exclusively by currently incarcerated people.
