Troy's city council held a special finance meeting Thursday night to discuss what some are calling an abrupt termination of City Hall's lease.

A week ago, Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello notified property owner First Columbia that the city was ending its lease for the current Hedley Building on River Street. City officials call it an end to a costly rental situation.

"There's going to be a lot to digest," Mantello said. "There will be public meetings, council action, meetings with staff and other steps."

There is no word when those meetings will take place, nor is there word of where the next City Hall location will be.
