CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service confirmed a weak EF-0 tornado occurred in Medina County on Monday afternoon.

NWS determined the tornado went from Chatham Township to Lafayette Township. It began near Spencer Lake Road and Ballou Road around 4 p.m.

NWS said there was tree damage along its path. The tornado moved southeast and damaged an unoccupied small barn near Spencer Lake Road and Erhart Road. It continued southeast toward Carsten Road, where there was damage to a home’s roof and several large tree branches. 

NWS said maximum wind speeds were estimated at 81 miles per hour.
