It’s hard to believe, but July 4, 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. 

If you’re 55 or older, you probably remember America’s Bicentennial in 1976 — and it was a spectacle to behold. It also doubled as a way to unite the country after the chaos of the Watergate scandal during the Richard Nixon administration. 

Now, the country is set to come together again to mark this historic anniversary.
