A busy Department of Motor Vehicles location in North Syracuse will soon be closing its doors. 

The East Taft Road office will shut down later this year when its lease expires. Once the closure takes place, just one location will be open and operating in Onondaga County, on Onondaga Boulevard.

Officials say closing the location on East Taft won't impact DMV customers in Central New York, saying staffing and capacity levels will remain the same throughout the region at all other locations. 

An advanced notice of when the site will actually close for good is expected to be posted soon.
