COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Hocking County Coroner's Office has identified the hiker who was killed when an uprooted tree fell and hit her Tuesday.

The coroner's office identified the hiker as 69-year-old Shelley Vandyke from Ada, Michigan. She was hiking with friends on the Lower Rim Trail in the Conkles Hollow State Nature Preserve when she was struck with the tree around noon.
Vandyke was pronounced dead on the scene.
The coroner added that foul play isn't suspected, and the investigation is ongoing.
Conkles Hollow was affected by severe weather Tuesday. Hocking Hills had to close the trail along with Old Man's Cave Gorge Trail because of flash flooding. All trails have been reopened, but officials warned hikers that there still may be some flooding along the trails and to use caution.
