SAN ANTONIO — The Fourth of July is almost here, and the City of San Antonio has rounded up the top must-go events across the city. From local vendor markets to a patriotic parade, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Throughout the Fourth of July weekend from July 4 through July 6, guests can enjoy a local vendor market with food, live entertainment and festive games at the city’s Historic Market Square. The free event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Stars & Stripes On Houston Street Parade
The second annual Fourth of July celebration is back on July 4. The patriotic parade kicks off at 11 a.m. and goes from Legacy Park to Travis Park. View the parade route map here. Guests can bring a chair to watch the parade from the street. Tickets to watch from the Majestic Theatre terrace are available for purchase. Tickets are $20 for Centro members and guests; $35 for future members; and free for kids 12 and under. See parking options here.
Celebrate Independence Day with a vendor market, live music and food from La Gloria — including tacos, margaritas and raspas to cool off from the summer heat. The event takes place July 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event, taking place every Friday and Saturday until early August, features a cultural performance at La Villita’s Arneson River Theatre, presented by the Alamo Kiwanis Club. Tickets range from $10 to $25.
