Win or lose memories are made and traditions are kept.
Jacci Rodgers is a fan. She said, “My first Derby I was six.”
Derby 151 was her 58th.
Shea added, “First growing up my dad said I understand that somebody has to work the Christmas Shift, the holiday shift, whatever but you’ll be at the Derby and we were. I quit a job once because they wouldn’t let me off.”
That dedication is one of the many reasons Derby wins, 151 years and counting.
