ST. LOUIS— The Ferguson-Florissant School District is canceling in-person classes on Wednesday, Feb. 12, for a second day due to the water main break that has prompted a boil order in much of North County along with the wintry mix impacting the region.

The water main broke around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and Missouri American Water says it is expected to last 48 hours.

The water main break happened on Dunn Road near Hazelrest Drive. The road is closed as crews are working to fix the break.

Any water to be used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 3 minutes. Water is OK for bathing, washing, and other non-consumable uses.

The map of the advisory also includes St. Louis Lambert Int'l Airport, but it is unclear of the impact there.
