HONOLULU — Late Friday, city officials closed the upper portion of Tantalus Drive until further notice because of a landslide that occurred on the mauka side of the roadway Tuesday night.

Crews are evaluating the situation, and updates on the road condition will be announced.

In the meantime, the public is advised to exercise caution when navigating the area and heed all traffic signs.
