As the rain keeps coming, some neighbors in the village of Whitesboro say they can't seem to catch a break.

Hoses pumping water were scattered around the area Monday after recent rains raised the Sauquoit Creek's water level, saturating the ground.

Members of the Whitesboro Water Warriors say they're frustrated with property owners not removing debris from the creek. That includes debris at the CSX Railroad bridge.

The village's mayor shares the same frustrations. He wants residents to know village staff are working with town, county and state officials to get help.

The American Red Cross is also helping Whitesboro residents who are being evacuated due to flooding concerns.
