AUSTIN, Texas  — Rep. Chip Roy, R-Austin, is trying to fend off a challenge from Democrat Wendy Davis in the battle for the 21^st Congressional District, which runs from Austin to San Antonio.

Roy is in his first term after narrowly beating Democrat Joseph Kopser in 2018.

Roy spoke with Capital Tonight anchor Karina Kling about his high-profile race, his views on the response to the coronavirus pandemic and appealing to a broader base of voters.
