Some 80,000 human service workers will get a 9% wage bump over the next three years.

Mayor Eric Adams and City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams made the joint announcement Thursday at City Hall.

The $741 million investment will provide a 3% annual cost-of-living adjustment for nonprofit workers who provide a range of services from child care to migrant services.

First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright and Michelle Jackson, executive director of the Human Services Council, joined NY1 political reporter Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss more.
