East High offensive back Seven McGee has known where he wanted to play college football all along.
The University of Oregon was the only school on McGee's list when he transferred in from California to the Eagles two years ago. On Saturday, the Ducks offered him a scholarship.
McGee came to Rochester as a running back but will be used as both a running back and wide receiver. Right as the season was beginning last year, McGee was informed that he'd be ineligible to play due to a transfer rule in New York State. After his sophomore year, McGee transferred back to California but the school there ended up changing the coaching staff and McGee came back to Rochester. New York State rule allows for only one transfer per career to avoid top athletes playing their sports out of district and then switching back.
McGee attended all of East's games last season to cheer on his teammates and is expected to play for East this fall.
