CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — F.F. Thompson Hospital is allowing visitors back in the hospital on a limited basis after a decline in the COVID-19 positivity rate.

Patients can pick two visitors 18 years or older and see one of them per day for a four-hour visit.

While no visitors are allowed in the emergency department waiting room, emergency room patients can have one visitor once they've been assigned a bed and have gone through COVID-19 screening.

Women giving birth can have a support person and a visitor, but the visitor can't be present at the same time as the support person.

Visitors must wear masks, be screened for COVID-19, and have a photo ID.
