LOS ANGELES — During the 1970s, a large number of Cambodian refugees started donut shops around Los Angeles to earn an income in a new land.

Today, thousands of donut shops are still owned and operated by Cambodian families, and California Donuts in Koreatown is among the most famous.

Spectrum News spoke to the sister who owns the shop about the legacy of Cambodian donuts and carrying the business on to the new generations.
