More ride-hailing services will be taxiing through the pick up and drop-off lanes of Greater Rochester International Airport.

Officials announced the arrival of Uber's service to and from the airport on Monday.

Passengers can now request to be be picked up at a designated area in front of the baggage claim terminal, or they can be dropped off on airport property.

“This was a common sense decision. Over 2.4 million passengers fly through our airport every year, which equates to an average of 6,500 passengers every day, and many of them have commented on how great it would be to have this convenient service,” said Airport Director Michael Giardino.

Competing ride-hailing service "Lyft" began operating at the airport on June 29, the first day all the services became available in upstate New York.
