The newly promoted chief of the Cambridge Greenwich Police Department, Robert Danko, has been arrested in connection with a domestic incident in the town of Salem.

Danko, 44, is charged with harassment and unlawful imprisonment. He was promoted to chief just last week and has been a member of law enforcement for the past 16 years.

He was arraigned in Washington County Court and released.
