One of the men connected to the shooting death of 11-month-old Dior Harris was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday.
Chavez Ocasio pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Another man, Jesse Outley, was convicted last week for second-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon for shooting and killing the child.
The charges stem from an incident in in April 2021, where two women were in the vehicle with their children in the backseat when shots were fired. Dior Harris died at the age of 11 months. An 8-year-old and a 3-year-old were injured.
Ocasio was the driver of the vehicle and was arrested shortly after the shooting, but took two years to tell authorities of Outley's role. Ocasio testified during the trial.
