Webster police are searching for a suspect they say was involved with a bank robbery Tuesday morning. 

The incident occurred at bankHometown at 4 Gore Road (Route 16). Webster Police said in a statement tellers at bankHometown notified the South Worcester County Communication Center which immediately dispatched all available Webster Police officers. Police say the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money and drove into Connecticut on a blue Suzuki GSXR at a high rate of speed heading south on Interstate 395 towards the Connecticut border. Police say the male suspect mentioned to bank employees he had a firearm however no weapon was shown or seen. No injuries were reported.

Webster Police are working in tandem with agents from the FBI field office in Worcester and the Connecticut State Police. In a Facebook post, Webster Police say evidence from the suspect may have been discarded on Interstate 395 in Connecticut.
