Two names that Floridians would care not to ever hear again: Helene and Milton.
Two major hurricanes that decimated parts of the state in 2024.
Helene brought destructive winds to the Big Bend region of the state, and was tagged as the ninth most intense storm of all time to strike Florida.
Milton’s destruction along the Gulf coast was unparalleled, with historic damage, flooding, and even the roof of Tropicana Field was torn off by the intense winds.
Now, barely a year later, we are approaching hurricane season yet again. As homeowners, what do we need to know heading into the 2025 season? What preparations should we consider, especially if Helene or Milton impacted us? Can lightning strike twice in the same place?
