The Buffalo Bills have to shed some salary by the start of the new league year next week, and now they’ll have a new punter in 2025 after making a roster move Thursday.
The club has released veteran punter Sam Martin after three seasons with the Bills.
According to the sports salary database Spotrac, the move saves the team about $2 million on the cap.
Martin’s replacement could be on the team already, as the Bills signed punter Jake Camarda back in January.
Before the move, Buffalo had to cut about $10 million from the salary cap prior to next Wednesday.
