A smaller crowd attended the opening day of the New York State Fair Wednesday, as only 38,000 people made their way out to the fairgrounds.
That's 33,000 short of last year's day 1 number.
For Day 2 on Thursday, fair officials will hope to see the number of fairgoers exceed last year's 43,000 tally.
You can buy your tickets for $8 and parking is $12.
Gates are open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
