Three more corrections officers at Collins Correctional Facility have been hospitalized.
According to the New York State Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association, the officers went into a cell of an inmate behaving irrationally. They then experienced life-threatening symptoms and required emergency care at a hospital.
This comes after 11 corrections officers at Collins Correctional were sent to a local hospital earlier this month.
While performing lifesaving measures on the inmate, all 11 officers began to experience several symptoms, including dizziness, light headedness, vomiting and some even went in and out of consciousness.
All 11 officers were taken to ECMC and were treated and released.
An investigation is ongoing.
