In total, 32 buildings were damaged in the fire and three had to be torn down. The fire left more than 20 people displaced and forced several businesses like Rizzo's Flowers and Smith's Restaurant to temporarily close.
The fire was sparked when city resident, John Gomes, tried to light a fire inside a barrel. He was sentenced last year to one year in jail for non-intentional arson.
