RALEIGH, N.C. -- Sears may be long gone, but there are new plans on how to use that land and more at Crabtree Valley Mall.
The mall is looking for Raleigh City Council to approve zoning for a 30-story tower.
Right now, the mall is zoned at 12 stories.
Crabtree believes the mix-use redevelopment project would cost $290 million.
And they anticipate once it's complete, there would be a combined total of $480 million in overall economic output between the city of Raleigh and Wake County as well as 2,200 more jobs.
