State lawmakers passed another budget extender Thursday to keep government funded through next Wednesday and got out of town quickly as staff level conversations are expected to continue. The numbers are fairly solidified at this point and those discussions revolve around details as votes are not expected before early next week at the soonest. Also, while budget chaos continues in Albany, state senators are gearing up for a debate about a bill that would legalize medically assisted suicide. The bill passed the Assembly earlier this week.
