ORLANDO, Fla. – Disney’s Animal Kingdom will celebrate Earth Day next month with a week filled with special activities, merchandise and food.

During the celebration, visitors will have the chance to learn to draw characters such as Dumbo, Terk, Squirt, Shere Khan, Simba and Scar at the Animation Experience at Conservation Station.

There will be special character appearances on Discovery River.

A new Wilderness Explorer activity will also be added, allowing visitors to a limited-time Earth Day Nature badge.

The festivities will also include themed treats, including specialty cupcakes. Creature Comfort will have a Honey Bee Cupcake, Flame Tree Barbecue will offer a strawberry-flavored Flamingo Cupcake, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge will have the Sea Turtle Graham Cracker Cupcake.

Animal Kingdom’s Earth Week Celebration will run April 18-24.
